On Nov.5, 2018, strategy for integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta was officially upgraded as a national strategy and was announced by President Xi jingping on the first China International Import Expo. Positioned as the national strategy, the overall development of Yangtze River Delta has been pressed the fast-forward button. This region with a high degree of opening-up level, contributing about a quarter of the country’s GDP, one-third of annual R&D expenditures and patents, one-third of country’s total import and export and foreign mutual investments, was finally highly-focused by favorable national policy advantages.

On Nov, 2019, the demonstration zone of green and integrated ecological development of the Yangtze River Delta was officially launched. The total 2,300 square kilometers covers Qingpu District in Shanghai, Wujiang District of Suzhou in Jiangsu and Jiashan of Jiaxing in Zhejiang. The industrial orientation of Qingpu is gradually upgrading towards high-end IT industry and high-end Intelligent Manufacturing industry.
