On Nov.5, 2018, strategy for integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta was officially upgraded as a national strategy and was announced by President Xi jingping on the first China International Import Expo. Positioned as the national strategy, the overall development of Yangtze River Delta has been pressed the fast-forward button. This region with a high degree of opening-up level, contributing about a quarter of the country’s GDP, one-third of annual R&D expenditures and patents, one-third of country’s total import and export and foreign mutual investments, was finally highly-focused by favorable national policy advantages.
On Nov, 2019, the demonstration zone of green and integrated ecological development of the Yangtze River Delta was officially launched. The total 2,300 square kilometers covers Qingpu District in Shanghai, Wujiang District of Suzhou in Jiangsu and Jiashan of Jiaxing in Zhejiang. The industrial orientation of Qingpu is gradually upgrading towards high-end IT industry and high-end Intelligent Manufacturing industry.

The Yangtze River Delta Digital Innovation and Industry Chain originates in Qingpu District, Shanghai. While centering on digital economy and relying on G50 Expressway, it strives to be an innovation and industry chain in close cooperation with the neighboring cities of Shanghai. It will be turned into a regional digital innovation development belt with top-class and new types of infrastructure under joint efforts towards digital life and digital governance. In 2022, the Regional Cooperation Office of Yangtze River Delta has listed the Yangtze River Delta Digital Innovation and Industry Chain as a priority in the “three-year action plan” for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region. In the near future, the line will be powered by Hongqiao International CBD, Shanghai Shixi Software Park, Xicen Science and Technology Innovation Center and “Watertown Living Room”, while radiating the whole Yangtze River Delta region. A trillion-scale digital economy belt will be built through strategic layout and holistic promotion.
The Yangtze River Delta Hi-Tech Park, as an important node on the Yangtze River Delta Digital Innovation and Industry Chain, is a pioneering demonstration park for the Yangtze River Delta Investment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. to foster the industrial clusters in this area, the Yangtze River Delta Hi-Tech Park will play an important role as the core zone of Shanghai Shixi Software Park, and actively undertake the innovation radiation and industrial chain extension of the Hongqiao International Central Business District and Xicen Science and Technology Innovation Center. While playing a pioneering role on the stage, it will continuously empower the high-quality construction of the Yangtze River Delta Digital Innovation and Industry Chain.
